Life's Not a Race, It's a Roadtrip

Sometimes we focus so much on the end goal, that we miss all the stops along the way.
We've got to stop holding our breath through the tunnels, waiting for the light at the end to breathe! Breathe, please!

 Roll down your windows,
Feel the sunlight rest gently on your skin,
Turn up the radio and sing,
Sing as loud as you can until you’re out of breath, then turn off the radio and look out the window.

You've been passing these beautiful vistas all along, but did you notice them? –More importantly, did you notice the people you've been sitting by?
They aren't going to be there permanently!
On this life-long road trip, they’re going to come in and out, and sometimes . . . you won’t know how long they’ll stay.

 So just talk to them.
 Learn from them.
Take the things you learn, and grow from them.
Make connections.
Create relationships.
Give everything you have and are, and then don’t expect anything in return.
Go ahead, feel.
 Laugh.
Cry.
Shout.
Scream!
BE.

LIVE.
LOVE.
You’re not being timed.
There is no prize for getting there first!
There’s only the fleeting satisfaction of arriving that quickly fades, and then you’re off, onto another point on a map that in the end doesn't really mean a thing.

Yes—we are trying to arrive at a destination—perhaps many throughout our lives, but don’t lose sight of those little, beautiful things that make the road worth traveling.
